We are CMR Relocation, a Manchester removal company with our own depot at Unit B1, Stuart Road, Broadheath. That puts us a few minutes from Altrincham town centre, close to the A56 and the M56. From here our crews cover the whole of Greater Manchester and the Cheshire towns to the south.

Every move follows the same four steps. Big or small, home or office, the order does not change.

We price your move on its own, and the quote costs you nothing. You see what is included. Packing, storage or crates are listed too.

We plan every piece
We book the right vehicle and crew, sort out parking and agree a timetable. For office moves we work from your floor plan.

Moving day
Floors are protected first. Then we wrap, load, drive, unload and place each item in the room on its label.

House removals
Home Removals Done With Care
A house move is a big day. Our job is to make it a calm one. Before the first item is carried out, we lay runners on the carpets and film on the stairs. That keeps both your old home and your new one clean.
We wrap furniture in blankets and bring clean paper for plates and glasses. Each plate gets its own sheets. Cups and bowls are packed upright and tight, so nothing can rattle in the van. Boxes are labelled by room, and our crew places each one in the right room at your new home.

If you need us to pack for you, our packing service covers one room or the whole house. If your new home is not ready yet, we can keep your things in our storage until it is.

Questions People Ask Before They Book
These are the questions we hear most often. If yours is not here, call us and Darrin or the team will answer it.
Which areas do you cover?
As a removal company covering Manchester and Cheshire, we work across all ten Greater Manchester boroughs and the nearby Cheshire towns, from Wigan and Bolton to Wilmslow and Macclesfield. Most of our moves are in South Manchester and Cheshire, close to our depot in Broadheath, Altrincham. Our areas page has a map with every town we cover.
Can you give me a price online?
You can start online, but we price every move on its own, because no two homes or offices are the same. Fill in the quote form or call us, and we will arrange a free survey. For most moves we come to your home or office and look round with you, so we see the furniture, the stairs, the loft and the access for the lorry. For smaller moves a video survey can work just as well. Your written quote then sets out exactly what is included. There are no price lists on our website for that reason.
Do you offer storage?
Yes. Our storage is at the Broadheath depot on Stuart Road. Your things go into sealed containers, which keeps them secure and dry. You can store for as long as you need. Most people book for at least a month.
Can you move us at a weekend or overnight?
For office moves, yes. We work weekends and overnight when the job needs it, so a business can close on Friday and open as normal on Monday. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and we answer urgent calls at weekends.
Do you move pianos?
We move upright pianos and grand pianos. A baby grand can weigh from about 225 to 545 KG, so we always send at least three people and lay floor protection before it moves.
Do you move people abroad?
Yes, mostly within Europe. France, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands are our most common routes. Our own vehicles handle the UK side, and trusted partners take care of the Channel crossing and onward delivery.
